Patriotic Flag Poke Cake


Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes at regular intervals throughout the baked cake.
In two separate bowls, dissolve strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water and repeat with blueberry Jell-O in another cup of boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cold water to each Jell-O mixture.
Pour the strawberry Jell-O over one-third of the cake and the blueberry Jell-O over another third, leaving the middle section plain.
Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Spread whipped topping over the chilled cake and decorate with fresh strawberries and blueberries to create a flag design.
