Sari Burma Baklava


Thaw phyllo dough according to package instructions.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix walnuts, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a work surface and brush with melted butter. Repeat with two more sheets, stacking them.
Sprinkle a thin layer of walnut mixture over the top phyllo sheet.
Carefully roll the sheets tightly into a log and slice the log into 1-inch pieces.
Place the pieces, cut side up, in a buttered baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and crisp.
While baklava bakes, combine honey, water, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
Pour the honey syrup over the hot baklava once it comes out of the oven.
Let cool completely before serving.
